On July 25, 2026, CATA-Earth Universitas Indonesia, in collaboration with Youth Health Hub Indonesia (YHHI) and RPTRA Sunter Muara, organized a Mini Class about Health and Environment as an implementation of the Planetary Health Education. The event took place at RPTRA Sunter Muara, RW 05 Sunter Agung, North Jakarta.
The event was designed to introduce elementary and junior high school students to the connections between human health, the environment, and sustainability. A total of 50 children from both elementary and junior high school participated in the program, which aimed to foster early awareness of health and environmental issues through interactive learning, educational games, and group activities.
The Health and Environment Mini Class also highlighted the importance of community-based and youth-centered education in building a more sustainable future. Empowering children with knowledge and practical experiences today can help nurture a generation that is more aware, engaged, and ready to take action for both human health and the environment.
The Mini Class featured some of activities:
- Planetary Health & Environmental Health Talk, delivered by dr. Dewi Yunia, SpOK from CATA-Earth UI, together with drh. Suwaibatul Annisa and Ellye Manullang, S.IPas from YHHI. This session introduced the importance of maintaining a healthy environment and highlighted how environmental challenges can affect human well-being.
- Waste Sorting Game, for the children to learn how to distinguish different types of waste and to understand the responsibility of waste management.
- “Earth Doctor” Group Discussion, for the children & students to discuss environmental and health-related issues, exploring possible solutions from the perspective of being young “Earth Doctors”.
- “Earth Doctor” Poster Presentation, each group presented their ideas and creative messages about health and environmental sustainability.

Through this event, CATA-Earth UI and YHHI demonstrate that Planetary Health education can begin at an early age. The Health and Environment Mini Class also highlighted the importance of community-based and youth-centered education in building a more sustainable future. Empowering children with knowledge and practical experiences today can help nurture a generation that is more aware, engaged, and ready to take action for both human health and the environment.
